  • 2 Granny Smith Apples (cubed)
  • 1 cup water plus 1 tablespoon (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 25 caramel squares

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine water and lemon juice. Core and cube apples, adding them to the lemon water.
  3. Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour melted chocolate onto the baking sheet and spread evenly.
  5. Press pretzels into the chocolate layer.
  6. Drain apples well and pat dry before placing them on top of the pretzels.
  7. Melt caramels with 1 teaspoon of water until smooth; drizzle over pretzel layer.
  8. Drizzle remaining melted chocolate on top of apples.
  9. Refrigerate until set, then cut into pieces.
