  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy; crumble and set aside. Sauté onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until tender.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, crumbled turkey bacon, shredded Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms, eggs, ketchup, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish. Spread ketchup on top for added flavor.
  5. Bake for 60-70 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
